Texas Workforce Commission will be on the Lockney HS campus next week, (December 11th from 8:00am - 3:00pm) to visit with Juniors and Seniors. There will also be a meeting for the Jr. and Sr. parents that evening at 6:00pm in the Lockney High School Classatorium.
Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) is a state agency charged with overseeing and providing workforce development services to employers and job seekers of Texas. TWC strengthens the Texas economy by providing the workforce development component of the Governor's economic development strategy.
The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) works directly with high-school aged students and may address various topics related to careers, higher education and employment.Please join us December 11th at at 6pm.
Congratulations are in order for the Longhorn Marching Band! The band is headed back to San Antonio next week for the UIL State Marching Contest. To accommodate those traveling to support the band, we will cancel school on Tuesday, November 12th and Wednesday, November 13th. Like last year, we will need to make up the days later in the year. We will utilize a Monday and/or our bad weather days to get this done. More to come on that later. For now, let's get ready to rock in San Antonio!

It's time for some Longhorn Football! Mitchell-Zimmerman stadium has no area designated for play...other than the game field. If you come to the game...and we hope you do...you will be expected to be in the bleachers, loud, and proud. Don't bring your own ball. The only game in town is on the field. If you walk out of the gate, you will not be allowed back in. Let's go Horns!
Today, Wednesday October 2nd is the deadline to order a Pink Out shirt. Order forms are in the high school office.

Registration is today until 7pm. Please come to the high school today if you have not registered your student for school. Your student will not be able to attend school until all registration paperwork is completed. School begins Tuesday August 13th.
LOCKNEY ISD ONLINE REGISTRATION Is OPEN. PLEASE GO TOT HE LISD WEBSITE TO FIND THE LINK. In-person registration is for ALL grade levels will be Monday, August 5th 1 pm- 7 pm and Wednesday, August 7th 8:30 am- 7 pm.
*New students please bring: Birth Certificate, Social Security card, shot record, parent ID, proof of residency and any previous school information.
*Returning students if you have moved over the summer please bring proof of residency.
*PK3 & PK4 parents DO need to come during this registration time.
Parents you can do online registration from home. You will still need to come up during registration times and bring the printed confirmation page and fill out packets.
High school and Junior High schedules will also be given out during this time.
LHS will have a send off for the 3 ladies that are STATE BOUND for powerlifting Friday (3/8) @ 12:45pm. Send off will begin at the tennis courts to the JH, then to HS and finish at the Elementary. We hope the entire community will join us in support of these athletes!

Little Longhorn Parent Club (LLPC) monthly meeting TONIGHT at Elementary Cafeteria. Action items include planning for Elementary Sweetheart Dance and upcoming spring activities benefitting all LISD staff and students! Join in at 5:15 p.m.
